[HK - Macau Trip] The Best Dimsum I've Ever Eaten
11:38:00 AM
Assalamu'alaikum Guys..
The only pic |
One of my favourite
food is chinese food, along with japanese food, italian food and of
course, indonesian food. So basically i love any kind of food as long as
it tastes good. Hehe.. That's why i wouldn't miss tasting local
culinary experience when i had the opportunity to visit that city.
During my last holiday in Hongkong, since beginning i've said that i had
to eat dimsum, one of chinese signature dish. I love dimsum, everybody
does! The problem is finding halal food in Hongkong especially halal
dimsum was not something easy. But, don't worry the Moslem Traveler, you
can try halal-delicious-yummy dimsum in Masjid Ammar and Osman Ramju
Sadick Islamic Centre.
After I met the Buddha
in ngong ping, my stomach started growling because it was time for
lunch, time to visit the Islamic center. To get to Islamic Centre, take
the MTR to Wanchai MTR Station, out from the station using Exit A3. Then
in front of the Exit A3, there is a tram stop (Don't cross the road).
That was my first experience using tram. Have you tried this kind of
transportation?
I would like to talk a
little bit about the tram, which is also known by the name "Ding Ding".
Hongkong's tram have been rumbling along the northern side of Hongkong
Island since 1904 and continue to be an affordable, inexpensive and fun
way to get around. Each tram ride cost of HKD 2,3 and no matter how far
you travel. Fares can be paid either by Octopus Card or in cash (no
change is given), so prepare your exact amount guys. You need to get off
the tram at the back and then pay the fare at the front when getting
off. Trams can be boarded at a designated tram stop. And to go to Masjid
Ammar and Osman Ramju Sadick Islamic Centre, we could take tram from
O'Brien Road 43 E Tram Stop.
From this stop, get
off at 2 stop after this stop, which is 47 Tonnochi Road. Crossing
toward the basketball court, trace the step that are next to the
basketball court until you find 7-11 then cross the road to 7-11,
continue straight until road interchanges then turn left. And you'll
find Masjid Ammar and Osman Ramju Sadick Islamic Centre. The cafetaria
located on the 5th floor, we can use the elevator to go up to there.
This is it |
To order, directly go to the counter where there are many variant of
dimsum, grab a tray and take dimsum that you want, then the waiter will
give us some kind of note that should be brought to the cashier to make
payments. Fyi, the price is very affordable, around HKD 20 - 30 and it
was so goood!
Besides dimsum, there
are other choices menu such as fried rice, fried noodles and some other
chinese menu. Well, to eat dimsum here, you should come before 3pm
because usually the dimsum quickly sold out. Oiya because the place is
not too big, so we must be willing to share a seat with the other
visitors.
Of course, beside the cafeteria, there is a mosque here, and often held lectures to the Muslims in Hong Kong.
